Our Club Captain Adrian Stephenson and an assortment of members will be attempting the golfing equivalent of a marathon - to play 72 holes of golf in one day, in aid of his registered charity for the year - Chilterns MS Centre and will take place on Thursday 23rd June.
One round of golf takes about 4 hours to walk and can be anything between 4 and 8 miles in length, depending on how straight you hit the ball. Ada isn't known for hitting it that straight..... so it's going to be a long walk, whilst attempting to play golf at the same time
Ada will be joined in this quest by myself and club members, Bryan Bateman, Andy Jones, Dave Hawkins, John Preston, John Smith, Angela Samuels, Steve Leng, Mark McLoughlin and Avril Simpson..
To add to the fun, we will be completing the 4 rounds in a range of costumes - Round 1 will be in pyjama's, round 2 dressed in tartan/ loud colours, round 3 we'll be dressed as superheroes and for round 4 we'll be dressed in evening wear.
