Yet again the Masters didn't fail to deliver with fantastic golf and sportsmanship. To have European Ryder Cup team mates and friends go head to head playing wonderful shots was a treat to watch. Sergio Garcia finally wins a Major after so many tries it will be interesting to see if this is the first of many or his one and only. He will obviously go into future Major tournaments with a different mindset and who knows what will happen, confidence breeds confidence.
At the beginning of the final round it was Garcia playing the better golf then in the middle it was Justin Rose and then back to Garcia at the end, a very enjoyable watch where you were never quite sure who was going to win. With Sergio you never quite know what will happen as he can hit some seriously bad shots which seem to come from nowhere, thankfully this wasn't the case last week and his flair pulled through.

Frank Clements Trophy
The Frank Clements Trophy was played on a beautiful warm and sunny day and in this fourball better ball stableford format it was the team of single figure handicappers Phil Coumbe and Mark Hammond who took the Trophy with a total of 48pts, two points ahead of the pairings of Chris Read and Simon Rossiter, Peter Sheridan and Simon Thornton, Geoff Dimmock and Andy McDonald, Darren Chambers and Gareth McCready and John Ager and Barry Wills.
On the same day we had another hole in one again on the 11th hole. This time it was Terry Lingham who hit the shot for his 12th hole in one of his golfing career and his 4th hole in one on the 11th. He has had a hole in one on all par 3's at the club. He said it was the first one he has seen go into the hole at the 11th. Congratulations Terry.
